Timothy B. Schmit (2022)

Timothy Bruce Schmit is a singer, songwriter an bassist most know for his work with country rock band Poco, and as a member of Eagles.  He wrote the song "Keep on Tryin'" for Poco, which at the time was a huge hit, and after joining the Eagles in 1977 Schmit made an immediate contribution with the song "I Can't Tell You Why".  Schmit has also worked as a session musician with various musicians, and has released several solo albums, the latest being 'Day By Day' (2022). We spoke with Timothy about finding his stride as a songwriter, his time with the Eagles, creative freedom, songs inspired by his wife, how he deals with negative thoughts, his continuing passion for making music, and more! Interview by: Robin Hignell  Support the showThank you for listening!
