Nirvana Fallacy - FT#43

In the forty-third episode we explore the Nirvana Fallacy, starting with Trump lying about the Iran nuclear deal. In Mark's British Politics Corner we look at Nigel Farage complaining that the perfect version of Brexit wasn't happening. In the Fallacy in the Wild, we check out examples from Penn and Teller, and Chapo Trap House host Will Menaker, and Jim rants a little bit about Bernie Bros. Jim and Mark go head to head in a special State of the Union version of Fake News, the game in which Mark has to guess which of three anecdotes Trump told at SOTU was actually true. Then we break down the most recent examples of the destruction of the rule of law by Bill Barr. And finally, we round up some of the other crazy Trump stories from the past week. Om Podcasten

Jim and Mark use the insane ramblings of a tiny-handed narcissist to explain logical fallacies. Each episode we focus on a single logical fallacy and, using examples from Trump, UK politics and pop culture, explore how and why it fools people, how to avoid committing it yourself, and how to counter it in an argument.
