Does the weight of special needs parenting ever dim your joy, leaving you questioning your own strength and faith? When life is heavy and we are weary, we long for the feeling of the holidays when life was simpler, and we felt happiness so much more easily. Yet the isolation and burden of the holiday season for us as special needs parents can trigger internal struggles we didn’t expect, even with our faith and resilience. In my years as a special needs mom and being friends with many other SN moms, I’ve experienced that the holidays can take on a different feeling, and bring challenges we didn’t expect to endure, so today I’m bringing you encouragement as I pray for you while we walk through this precious Christmas season.
