#132: Core Decision #6 — Show Up Today

This week, we discuss what it means to "show up."

Contrary to what we might think, showing up is rarely easy. Showing up for our loved ones requires quite a bit of energy. In other words, as Christi describes in this episode, showing up requires energy to do the things that matter, even when we don't want to do them.

It's like the energy it takes to choose salad over pizza, or working out over sleeping in. Choosing to get on the floor and play trains, or have a tea party, with your kids requires intention. Choosing to show up for your spouse in his / her insecurity or difficult day require energy.

But it's that very energy that brings life, not just to those we love, but to our own souls as well.

In this episode, we also talk about what it means to show up in our relationship with God, and how the investments of "showing up" today, pay dividends over time.
