Being misunderstood - Karl Lokko

This episode was recorded before the coronavirus was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

**

On the first episode of Fear Itself I meet Karl Lokko, an ex-gang leader who is now helping to turn the tide of gang crime in London as an advisor, change agent and public speaker. I was curious to know what Karl’s fears were when he was involved with gang crime and how they differ to his fears now, as well as how his experiences as a person on the autistic spectrum impact his fear of being misunderstood.

His life stories are fascinating and I loved hearing how he has transformed his life to help others. Please listen out at the end for his poem, it gave me goose bumps and it’s really not one to miss.
