Ep 28 - Normalize Different with Jess Quinn

This episode Lydia and Esther speaks to the amazing Jessica Emily Quinn. Jess lost her leg to cancer at just 9 years old after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Jess went through a rare surgery called a rational plasty - a surgery where the middle part of the leg is removed and the lower leg is reattached at the thigh, but rotated 180 degrees. Her ankle joint now functions as the new knee joint. Jess has spent the last 20 years working through the changes in her body, her confidence in herself and more recently, has been challenged again, with a diagnosis of endometriosis. Welcome to the Femmi Pod. Femmi has been built to empower women through movement, education and connection. At Femmi we are building a community of women who can support, inspire and educate one another on how to move with our bodies and not against them. Founders, Lydia O’Donnell and Esther Keown, have come together to kick start more conversations about women, how we can make the most of our bodies, our hormones and ourselves.
