Global banks are much better positioned from a capital and liquidity perspective than they were heading into the 2008 financial crisis, yet pockets of concern are beginning to percolate. Bloomberg Intelligence’s analysis suggests solid credit quality is supported by considerable liquidity, but potential funding needs for U.S. Bancorp, PNC Financial, Truist and Mitsubishi UFJ may create bond-pricing anomalies, while Credit Suisse’s ultimate fate is a major question mark.
