In the latest episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, a comic book movie and an Oscar-winning romantic drama with an unexpected link between them. Disney transformed the marketing of Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy (1990) in the aftermath of the previous year's Batman. The studio's approach changed dramatically afterwards. 1996's Jerry Maguire was originally set to star Tom Hanks, and the film's casting would be one of its many challenges..
