#731: Booksmart / Top 5 Female Friendships

A raunchy/sweet comedy in the "Superbad" mold, Olivia Wilde's BOOKSMART mixes genre clichés and clever updates as it follows its high-achieving heroines on a one-night odyssey to shed their by-the-book images and make it to The Year's Biggest Party. Adam and Josh have lots of praise for leads Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever and the talented ensemble – and for some of the formal inventiveness that Wilde brings to her directing debut.

And then Adam and Josh go on the run with Thelma and Louise for the Top 5, assembling an all-star crew of the movies' best female pals along the way.
