Carmen de la Cerda is Managing Partner at BuenTrip Ventures. A firm that seeks to identify, mentor, and invest in the best early-stage startup founders in Latin America. Recently, BuenTrip Ventures announced it is launching its second fund, making it the first institutional VC Fund operating out of Ecuador and investing throughout Latin America. Carmen’s mission is to transform, at a fundamental level, the region through technology. She works with founders, mentors, and investors in Ecuador and abroad in order to provide access to knowledge, networks, and capital to companies with high growth potential. Carmen studied her master's degree at IE in Madrid. She is an alumna of the US Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Furthermore, Carmen participates as a board member in well-established companies in Ecuador, she has mentored over 100 startups, and actively accompanies the more than 20 ventures that currently make up the BuenTrip portfolio.
