Class Is in Session (guest: John Laub)

Last week’s Senior Bowl kicked off draft season, and host Pat Fitzmaurice (@Fitz_FF) is joined this week by college football and NFL analyst John Laub (@GridironSchol91) of Football Diehards, co-host of The Draft Seminar. John and Pat dig into a perplexing QB class. Is Malik Willis at the head of the class after a strong Senior Bowl week? Is Kenny Pickett legit? Is Sam Howell being overlooked? There’s also some RB talk, as John puts the “Big Three” of Breece Hall, Isaiah Spiller, and Kenneth Walker under the microscope, then talks about a couple of his other favorites.  John talks about being a high school history teacher, the joy of connecting with students, and which period in history he most enjoys teaching his student about. A New Haven resident, John touts the merits of New Haven-style pizza, including a mashed potato pizza. This year’s WR class is talented and deep, and John and Pat discuss Treylon Burks, Garrett Wilson, Drake London, and others. John also offers a parting Super Bowl prediction – and we should all hope he’s wrong.  Host: Pat Fitzmaurice (@Fitz_FF)  Guest: John Laub (@GridironSchol91)               Podcast produced by Colm Kelly (@OvertimeIreland)  Music provided by International Jet Set  Learn more about your ad choices.
