Rich Man, Your Man (guest: Rich Hribar)

With fantasy football draft season soon to begin in earnest, host Pat Fitzmaurice (@Fitz_FF) is joined by the Swami of Konami, Rich Hribar (@LordReebs) of Sharp Football Analysis, for some high-level conversation about draft strategy. Rich wasn’t that into Stefon Diggs or Keenan Allen last year but kept drafting them anyway. Find out why method drafting beats the “pick the right players” plan. Some people like to target RBs who are just an injury away from a premium role, but on this episode, Rich makes a good case for applying the same strategy to WRs. Rich explains the origins of his Zack Morris avatar on Twitter, talks about his fantasy baseball background and reveals what TV shows he’s been binge-watching.  There’s some Scott Fish Bowl talk on this episode, with Rich and Pat discussing how the Superflex and TE-premium structure has influenced their strategy at the QB and TE positions. Rich talks about how to handle ambiguous backfields such as the ones in Arizona, Denver, San Francisco, and Tampa, then digs into the hit rates for players who are the top receivers on their own teams but have ADPs beyond the WR2 range. Rich and Pat discuss their mutual attraction to Kenny Golladay, and Rich explains why the Giants might be in for an offensive bump. There’s also some chatter about Jonathan Taylor and Ezekiel Elliott, and Rich reveals which early ADPs he believes to be faulty.  Host: Pat Fitzmaurice (@Fitz_FF)  Guest: Rich Hribar (@Lord Reebs)                     Podcast produced by Colm Kelly (@OvertimeIreland)  In association with TheFootballGirl.com  Music provided by International Jet Set  Learn more about your ad choices.
