Carla is animation professional from Dublin Ireland with experience across the 2D animation pipeline, from animation to cleanup to ink and paint. Carla is passionate about the art form of animation, and is aon a mission to know everything about the process. It's a special thing to work in such a vibrant industry, alongside such passionate and talented individuals, and Carla makes it her mission to support the people working in the industry in any way she can. Carla co-founded Dublin Animation Meetup to help the people who work in animation network and get to know each other and network. DAM boasts a monthly meetup that welcomes over 100 people each month. They see people come to our event from all over the country. They provide games and encourage our guests to meet new people and re-connect with old friends. They are in the process of expanding DAM from monthly meetups to a designated resource network for junior and mid-level personnel across the animation sector. Paul McGrath is an Animator – Filmmaker – illustrator and Clean up Artist, based in Dublin Ireland. He co-founded Whackala with Leticia Agudo to combine their talents in Producing & Directing fiction, documentary & Animation, sometimes combining all three. This multi-formatted approach has resulted in award-winning documentaries that include animation and scripted elements. Most recently Paul has directed the frameworks short “Lady Betty” you may have seen it in a festival near you. He has worked internationally on many animation series and projects. Paul has taught animation & design in Dublin, Ballyfermot college, IADT & Coláiste Dhúlaigh.
