FMOOD 0042: Unexpected Expenses

How do you handle unexpected expenses? Do you allow them to shred your budget into pieces, or do you mindfully handle the situation to ensure that the impact to your budget is minimal?   The best course of action is to not immediately react to an unexpected expense by making the purchase without considering your budget. Instead, you should take some time to work this unexpected expense in with the other items that you have already budgeted for the month. Perhaps you could move some money around or take some money out of other categories to pay for this unexpected expense. In other words, you are taking an action that thoughtfully empowers you. Your behavior should show that you are in control of your money and not the other way around.   If you liked this show so far, please take a minute to subscribe to the show, rate it, and leave a review.
