Ladies of Golf: Kellie Valentine, Adaptive Golfer

Welcome back to the Ladies of Golf podcast! This week we're thrilled to introduce you to Kellie Valentine. Kellie and Abby first met while playing golf together during the U.S. Adaptive Open Championship media day. The U.S. Adaptive Open is a new national championship that will showcase the world’s best golfers with disabilities this July at Pinehurst No. 6. The field will include 96 players, with at least five male players and two female players per impairment category. Those categories are: Arm Impairment Leg Impairment Multiple Limb Amputee Vision Impairment Intellectual Impairment Neurological Impairment Seated Players Short Stature Kellie became an amputee following an automobile accident that resulted in the loss of her right arm above the elbow in 1993. It was so inspiring to play golf with her and we hope to watch her compete this July. Enjoy our conversation.  --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/foretheladies/support
