Kathrine Switzer & the mother of all niches

We speak to Nick Overy, who will be the first person to run a parkrun on 366 different days of the year. He tells us how he was completely unaware of his achievement until he was contacted by parkrun HQ. To celebrate International Women’s Day, Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to run the Boston Marathon tells us the story of the hurdles she overcame to compete that day. She also tells us about her global non-profit organisation 261 Fearless, which uses running as a vehicle to empower and unite women and the parallels it has to parkrun. Plus, Caroline Plummer on how she overcame her fears to complete her first parkrun, three years after first coming along!
