Episode 1: Brad Kolodner (New Takes on Old Tunes)

Part One in the "Baltimore Boys" series, wherein I jam with the friends (and tenants) of Brad Kolodner. We discuss growing up in the household of hammered-dulcimer titan, Ken Kolodner, and play some of their best modern takes on traditional tunes. This episode features three clawhammer banjo duets, which you don't hear everyday (hopefully). There's an exciting tension to these recordings; lining up bum-diddies (the basic clawhammer stroke) is no easy task. But I think we made something special, and I hope you agree. Also, I found out Brad's a straight-up DJ! Dude's pro in an interview; I've got a lot to learn. Recorded at Brad's Place in 2016Support Get Up in the Cool
