Season 2 | Ep 4 | The Legend of Marianna | An Argentinian Legend

As I watched Lionel Messi lift the FIFA World Cup after 36 years, I couldn’t help but think of the stories that he grew up listening to!Did the stories of his childhood shape him to be the player he is?I realised that I don’t have an Argentinian Story and so I went looking for one. And this is the ONE that instantly spoke to me.The Legend of Marianna, her stories and golden nuggets reminded me of the importance of a storyteller in our communities. It reminded me that each one of us has a repository of stories and unless we gather, document and archive them they will be lost for ever. What are you doing about your family stories?Do you make an attempt to document your personal stories? How are you archiving your organisational history? This holiday season, gather up to share stories with one another. Find the Marianna in your home, your community, your organisation. Or become the Marianna for a day...Do you think Lionel Messi heard The Legend of Marianna as a child? I wouldn't know...But as you listen to this story, tell me which are the stories that shaped you to be who you are today? You can tell me that, right? I'd love to know!********************𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙥𝙤: 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢, 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢. Om Podcasten

Golpo is the Bengali word for stories. It is a curious little word, both a verb and a noun at the same time. As a child Rituparna would insist on two stories and two songs every night. She would pretend to go off to sleep testing her parents to see if they'd finish the story they started to tell. When her grandmother told her stories she would kick her legs in the air fighting sleep before it wrapped her in. Golpo, the joy of oral storytelling returned to Rituparna's life as a mother. From a visual storyteller she discovered the magic of the spoken word all over again. Now a Performance Storyteller, Trainer, Consultant & Coach Rituparna is the Founder of ** *Your Story Bag* ( http://www.yourstorybag.com ) *.* Rituparna believes that stories bridge people & telling stories creates a shared experience. So whether you listen to these stories in the classroom, boardroom or living room, each of these stories will trigger conversations amongst people. Go ahead & try it out...
