#105 Michelle Mitchell - Olympic Gold Medalist, Wellbeing Manager Surfing Australia

Michelle Mitchell has had a huge impact on my life! She grew up on the NSW Central Coast and had a huge passion for Hockey! After chasing her Olympic dream from high school she finally got to chase a gold medal in Atlanta 1996, which she achieved! After her hockey career, Michelle struggled like a lot of athletes. She didn't know who she was outside of her sport. She now is the wellbeing and engagement lead at Surfing Australia where I have been lucky enough to work alongside Michelle for years. We also talk about the Seas the Day women's surfing festival which you can learn more about and sign up for the free event here - https://seasthedaysurffestival.com - https://www.stickytickets.com.au/o4dpw/wellness__riding_the_waves_of_your_values__workshop.aspxA few key topics in this chatGrowing up at Readhead.High School and HockeyOlympic journeyWinning a Gold MedalPost-athlete career hard timesWellbeing managerSeas the DayI loved this chat and so will you!Michelle's LinksINSTAGRAM - www.instagram.com/michelle.mitchell16/?hl=enLINKED IN - www.linkedin.com/in/michelle-mitchell-oam-oly-74653362/?originalSubdomain=auThis episode is proudly sponsored by Ārepa Brain Performance Drink!
