#120 Keegan Hipgrave - Medically retired from the NRL

Keegan is someone who truly inspires me and has one of the biggest hearts I have ever seen.Growing up on the Gold Coast meant Keegan was in love was surfing and NRL from a young age. As a bigger kid, he thrived in the junior ranks and through high school. Straight after High School he was playing for the Brisbane Broncos under 20s and had a huge career looming. Keegan made his debut in the NRL in the last game of the 2017 season for the Gold Coast Titans and went on to have a few awesome years. But they came with a cost. Multiple head knocks and overcoming so many adversities. In 2021 Keegan was medically retired from the NRL after a brutal 3rd head knock at just 24 years old.The thing I love most about Keegan is what he did next. Studying a business MBA at Bond University and making a huge impact on the world through his work at What Ability. , a charity helping disabled children.A few key topics in this chatGrowing up on the Gold CoastFinishing school and school footyNRL DebutGood values from familyUniversityConcussionsMedical RetirementWhat AbilityI loved this chat and so will you!Keegan's LinksINSTAGRAM - www.instagram.com/keeganhipgraveThis episode is proudly sponsored by Ārepa Brain Performance Drink!
