#348 - Peter Singer

Peter Singer is an Australian moral philosopher and the Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University. He has a discussion with Tom about his favourite music, the pros and cons of social media, why he felt compelled to set up the Journal of Controversial Ideas at journalofcontroversialideas.org, what he makes of Richard Dawkins' recent "cancellation" for comments on transgenderism, whether the coronavirus lockdowns were a moral imperative and his lifelong promotion of the veganism. Peter's new book, The Golden Ass, is out on May 20th. This episode is brought to you by Lumie, the original inventors of wake-up lights, whose Bodyclock Luxe 750DAB wake-up light mimics a natural sunrise and sunset.
