Intel and its partner Strategy Analytics project that the Passenger Economy will grow to $7 trillion by 2050 driven mainly by Consumer Mobility-as-a-Service (estimated to grow to $3.7 trillion), Business B2B Mobility-as-a-service (estimated to grow to $3 trillion) and New & Emerging Pilotless Vehicle Service (estimated to grow to $300 billion). The report argues that as pilotless transportation takes hold, consumers and businesses will relinquish car ownership in favor of paying for transportation by the transaction. Read the report at https://newsroom.intel.com/newsroom/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2017/passenger-economy.pdf Second, Airbnb is back and they are reporting web traffic higher than all other travel search sites including Booking.com, Hotels.com and traditional hotel brands like Hilton and Marriott International. Airbnb drew 106.9 million visits to its site in Q1 2017 that's up 31% of the same time in 2016. Airbnb accredits the surge in millennials seeking non-traditional travel adventures to the growth.
