She holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School where the idea for SingleParentPower originated in an entrepreneurial business class. Yurani has over eight years of project management experience and is heavily involved in the DC startup community. She led the first startup weekend for the Hispanic community in the DC metro area, Techstars Startup Weekend Latin X, and created WOMENPALANTE, an organization that provides entrepreneurship education to Latina mothers and their children.
