40. Elena Malakhatka: Improving building sustainability through data collection (IN ENGLISH)

Elena Malakhatka is pursuing her PhD at KTH in Stockholm, where she is aiming to bridge the gap between the real estate industry and the citizens actually living in the buildings. By measuring large amounts of data using so-called live-in-labs, she can analyze everything from energy consumption to social interaction, with real people in real time. The goal is to understand how building companies can improve their sustainability efforts, and sometimes that may include nudging the tenants in the right direction. The interview was recorded at Sime 2018 at Epicenter in Stockholm. Podcast host: Christian von Essen / Read more at: http://www.hejaframtiden.se
