Rafe Judkins Empire Magazine Interview Breakdown - Season 2 News

The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins spoke candidly about some of the TV show's biggest changes from the books in a new podcast released on Wednesday. Judkins joined writer Helen O'Hara on Empire Magazine's Spoiler Special Film Podcast, where they agreed to hold nothing back. Of course, that means there are spoilers for The Wheel of Time Season 1 ahead, and some spoilers for the books as well. Judkins spoke directly about the changes his show made from the novels in a way he hasn't done yet since the show premiered. He started with a huge revelation – that Amazon gave him a 250-page document detailing some of the aspects of The Wheel of Time novels that would need to be changed for TV. This document apparently came from fans of the book series who had identified the major plot points they felt should change in a screen adaptation. This included things that were confusing, slow-paced or contradictory.
