Horror Movie Podcast Ep. 175: Godzilla – King of the Monsters (2019) and Godzilla Franchise Overview

Rrrarrrrr! It’s time to go GODZILLA on the king of horror podcasts, HORROR MOVIE PODCAST, where we’re Semi-Serious About Giant Monster Movies! So, prepare for an all-out battle, not just between Monster Zero and the God of all Monsters, but between hosts Wolfman Josh, Gillman Joel, and Dr. Shock, joined today by a litany of phone-in guests and one extra special guest: longtime friend of the show and Godzilla superfan, AnDread the Blind! AnDread will help us through a Franchise Overview of the classic Toho monster movies and join us for our Feature Review of Godzilla – King of the Monsters (2019). We’ll also get a special children’s review of Michael Dougherty’s new entry in the MonsterVerse from Gillman’s guests, Godzilla Jr., Rodan Jr., and Ghidorah Jr. (Joel may want to check on the parentage there) and a Shudder-Sponsored Screaming Online review of Bong Joon-Ho’s The Host (2006). Horror Movie Podcast has been a bi-weekly show that is often late to post. We’re thinking about moving the show to just twice per month, still roughly aiming for an every other Monday release schedule. Technically, that would mean a few less shows per year, but practically, it would mean that our shows would be posted on time more often and would help ensure that the mental health of your hosts is is a place where we can continue to deliver the show for years to come. We would love your feedback on this. If you’d like to support our show, please subscribe to our podcast free in iTunes’ Apples Podcasts and leave us a review! Or just tell a friend. We’d really appreciate it. Thanks for your support and thanks for listening to Horror Movie Podcast, where we’re Dead Serious About Horror Movies! I.
