Showing Up
Morning Mantra: "You can pretend to care, but you can't pretend to show up." Last weekend I attended the memorial service for someone I've know all my life. He was such a cool person but cancer took him way too soon. This mantra quote by George L. Bell represents him perfectly because he was a person who always showed up. He felt that if you truly cared about a person or a cause, you show up. And he did. It was always a given that we would see him walk through the door of any big family party...
