Much like the children of Israel, having just left captivity and seeing their oppressors pursuing them, when you allow what you experience through the natural to dominate your spirit, the outcome will inevitably be that your spirit will be debilitated. In the case of Israel and the Egyptians, fear bread confusion and unbelief, which ultimately, if it hadn’t been for the intervention of YeHoVaH through Moses, would have lead to Israel returning back into bondage. When you allow the spirit of fear to take up habitation on you, through sensory overload, you’ll inevitably transmit that which you’re fearful about, rather than whom you should fear.
