Yellowjackets S1E1-5 Catch-Up

Surprise, we’re covering another series!A bunch of us got into this new Showtime show Yellowjackets, and even though it’s already halfway through it’s initial 10-episode season we liked it so much we decided to start podcasting about it.So what is Yellowjackets? It’s kind of a Lord of the Flies with teenaged girls, with a little bit of Lost and some Alive thrown in. Very dark. Mysterious. Engaging. Crazy. Well written. Great music. Quality cinematography. The Wikipedia summary says “In 1996, a team of New Jersey high school soccer players travels to Seattle for a national tournament. While flying over Canada, the plane crashes deep in the wilderness and the remaining team members are left to survive for 19 months. The series chronicles their descent into madness and cannibalism while also tracking their current lives in 2021.“I (Jason) highly recommend checking this show out if you haven’t already been watching. It actually has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes right now.In this first episode of our coverage, join Wendy, Daphne, and newcomer Penny for a thorough recap of the first five episodes, and then we’ll start covering it weekly through the rest of the season, simultaneously with The Wheel of Time. It’ll be a rotating group of hosts, and I’m really into it so I’ll definitely be one of them! You can find our contact info and all our other shows at: podcastica.com Show support and get ad-free episodes: patreon.com/jasoncabassi Daphne’s Run for Your Lives podcast: runforyourlivespodcast.com Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
