Ep 24 - The Hellfire Caves of West Wycombe

The most notorious incarnation of the Hellfire Club is undoubtedly that of Sir Francis Dashwood. Shrouded in mystery and superstition and rumours of orgies, satanic worship and human sacrifices. This club met in secret in a cave system that lay 300 metres below a 14th century church, overlooking West Wycombe, and it was here that these unholy acts took place. The club may be long gone, but the ghosts remain, with reports of all manner of terrifying paranormal phenomena. This week we find ourselves in the lair of one of Britain’s most infamous societies, and ask just how haunted are the Hellfire Caves? Support How Haunted? by subscribing and leaving a review.
