Actor Stephen Fry on cancer, kindness, and how to talk about it

To open our second series, actor, presenter and writer Stephen Fry talks to Jeremy & Sarah about his own experience with prostate cancer - from diagnosis to surgery and life post-cancer. He discusses how kindness, contact and smiling are clinically proven to aid recovery. And, as a renowned wordsmith, we ask him to suggest alternatives to some of the terminology often used in the cancer community (he’s not a fan of community btw) Please do like and recommend the show as it helps us reach more people who are living with, or affected by, cancer. We'd like to hear about your experiences with cancer, so please do get in touch if you’d like to share. If you're listening on Spotify, you can use the show’s Q&A feature, or please share your thoughts through our Instagram page at @howlonghaveyougot2024. Studio and Recording by A Digital. Production for A Digital by Andrew Armitage and Matthew Connolly.

Om Podcasten

A podcast that tries to take the kerfuffle out of cancer. Jeremy Langmead and Sarah Edmundson, who both have cancer (recurrent prostrate cancer and secondary breast cancer respectively), discuss the high, lows and even the lols, that come with the disease. With the help of experts, and others with different cancer journeys to theirs, Jeremy and Sarah will tell it as it is. All the stuff they wish people had told them. Please be part of this, too.
