Parent, partner, sibling, offspring, grandparent, carer, entrepreneur/careerist: it's hard to have it all. Yet, especially in this day and age, that's what we expect of ourselves. After all, social media, and the media in general, never tires of the subject or of the expectations that we "must" meet for ourselves and others. The comparison game has us reaching every higher: the impression that others are sailing through can exacerbate this endless striving, leaving us feeling exhausted, frustrated and even anxious. It can be relentless, causing us to feel not good enough, like we are failing. So we try harder, and harder, until something gives. What gives is either your expectations of yourself or your life, your health (mental and physical). Or perhaps your relationships or your job. In the worst case scenario, all of the above.
