04 Daniel Giuditta Interview / Product Designer, Facebook / Humans Software Love Podcast

My special guest this week is Daniel Giuditta, he’s a Product Designer at Facebook
. In February 2017 he moved from Facebook HQ, based in Menlo Park, California where he worked on the Facebook Groups Team — to their head office in London at Rathbone Place W1. There he worked on Facebook's first-ever Saas suite of enterprise communication tools called Workplace. Things were not always so rosy for him. At only 18 years of age, during his first week in college at The Pratt Institute (9/11/2001) he witnessed the twin towers collapsing from a rooftop in Brooklyn., NY. A phone call home to his parents on a landline at the time, didn’t get the reaction he was expecting so he stayed in NY, finished his education at Rhisd before big-name publishing and tech companies started knocking at his door. I was lucky enough to work directly with Dan as a UX Researcher on Workplace at Facebook. His design talent, great storytelling, and dry sense of humor made me feel at home in an unfamiliar environment.

Before Facebook, He studied fine art at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY and then, later on, he studied Graphic Design at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design or Rhisd for short.

Om Podcasten

Welcome the Humans, Software, Love - Podcast — my name is Louise Campbell, I’m a digital design researcher or UXR for short, I’m privileged to have worked for some of biggest best technology teams and companies in the world including Facebook. Humans, Software, Love Podcast is a career space where I share conversations and stories with my favorite people in digital product and service design, UX research, software engineering, product management and growth marketing.

We also take a look at the lives of the people I interview and learn about how they got to the top of their careers, and what inspired them in the early years. We dive into their top 5 digital moments, moments shaped the careers and finally, we ask what they would take with them if they were invited on the first trip to Mars.
