Episode 44: Thomas Kelly on Improv and play
Thomas Kelly received a degree in theater from Rhodes College and completed a Jacques Lecoq inspired physical theater and devising course at the London International School for the Performing Arts. He is an ensemble member of the Holy Fuck Comedy Hour and the award winning improv ensemble, Sand. Thomas and I talk about three categories of play; Play to play, play to win and play to survive, what they are and how and when to use them. We talk about character driven improv, trust your instincts and clowning. We are also talking about tinder, cook county social club and the joy of watching a painter paint.
