Ep39: Orilissa and Lupron. Part 3B – The Potential Long Term Risks of Lupron

Episode updated 11/2022. Lupron is commonly prescribed for the treatment of endometriosis, but patients - and even doctors! - are not always fully informed of the side effects that can occur from taking this medication. Since Lupron has been on the market for over 30 years, there is a lot of information available on the potential long term risks as reported in independent data analysis, the FDA adverse events database, and patient surveys and experiences. Knowing the potential risks can help us make more informed decisions and decide if the risks outweigh the benefits for our situation. **Note: Lupron is commonly prescribed as a medical treatment for endometriosis. However, Lupron only treats the symptoms of endo, not the disease itself. In episode 33, we talked about this and explored how effective Lupron actually is at alleviating symptoms. CONNECT WITH US!
