Swinging with the Elevator Boys
It’s 11:39 a.m. and Owen is out of his bedroom and inside a studio that can accommodate more than three people because the Elevator Boys have joined him for a personal meet-and-greet! Owen and the Boys play a word association game that has Owen learning a lot about all five members (some of them have girlfriends!)—Luis Freitag, Jacob Rott, Bene Schulz, Julien Brown, and Tim Schaecker. They discuss the Boys’ new song “California” and the inspiration behind it, and set the record straight on how the name “Elevator Boys” came to be.
