In Episode 36, Joe talks about how the centrepiece of emotional fitness, the core of emotional fitness is having a healthy identity, a healthy self-concept, a healthy view of how we see ourselves in the world. “… there are five points that flow one after the other: #1 identity which influences #2 perspective, which directly influences #3 our thoughts and what we focus on, which directly affects #4 the meaning that we give to our thoughts... and #5 is finally our emotional state… So our sense of self is really, really important.
