Uzbekistan's reform process: Chances and challenges
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, ruling Uzbekistan since December 2016, has initiated several milestone reforms aiming to create a market economy and open the country for foreign investors. Alexey Yugai, Associate Director and Eric Wheeler, Senior Associate in our Business Intelligence & Investigations team, have been on the ground meeting with international and Uzbek business people, as well as relevant figures in the public sector, outside political observers and journalists.
