S5 EP8: Interview With Light The Way And The Gabby Petito Foundation

Season 5 Episode 8: Interview With Light The Way And The Gabby Petito Foundation The Invisible Tears team was honored to sit down with Shayna, founder or Light The Way and Nichole Schmidt, mother of Gabby Petito and President of the Gabby Petito Foundation. The advocacy work that these two amazing organizations do is incredible, and now with both of these organizations working together, their work will be profound! Light The Way is a victim-centered volunteer organization dedicated to reuniting missing persons with their loved ones, fostering positive relationships between families and law enforcement and advocating tirelessly for victims of unresolved cases, missing individuals and their families. The Gabby Petito Foundation's mission is to address the needs of organizations that support locating missing persons and to provide aid to organizations that assist victims of domestic violence situations, through education, awareness, and prevention strategies. Gabby went missing while on a cross-country road trip that included visits to many of our national parks. After an intensive search it was discovered that Gabby’s life was tragically cut short. Her family and the foundation wish to turn their personal tragedy into a positive. It is their hope that Gabby’s foundation will bring these important issues into the forefront of the public eye to the benefit of all communities. Invisible Tears is a platform for truth and healing. Jane Boroski's story is a miraculous one, but her story doesn’t end the night she was attacked by the Connecticut River Valley Serial Killer and lived to talk about it. Jane tells her entire story, and we explore the Connecticut River Valley cases along with other unsolved cases, to bring light to all these victims because, after all, they are unsolved and that isn’t acceptable to us. We are on a mission to help and heal others by giving a platform of awareness to trauma, PTSD, truth and healing.
