I’m a Celtic musician and podcaster. This show is dedicated to the independent Celtic musicians. Please support these artists. Share the show with your friends. And find more episodes at celticmusicpodcast.com. You can also support this podcast on Patreon. I finished performing at Dragon Con last week. That’s a big science fiction convention I do every year here in Atlanta. It was another rousing success. And happily, my two covid tests I took afterward were negative. It’s awesome being vaccinated. But the last thing I want is for my kids or friends or fans to get sick. But this means, I am still behind on getting ahead on podcasts. Maybe after Gen Con in Indianapolis, which is where I am currently performing. I was barely able to get this episode done in time. Attention musicians, and music lovers, Pub Songs & Stories is the place for musicians to share the stories and inspiration behind their music. If you have a story that you’d like to share about a song you wrote, or from a gig, or maybe even just a piece of Celtic history that you love. Drop me an email. Put “Pub Story” in the show subject. Tell me about your story. Maybe I’ll ask you to record your story for the show. THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST! Because of Your kind and generous support, this show comes out at least four times a month. Your generosity funds the creation, promotion, and production of the show. It allows us to attract new listeners and to help our community grow. As a patron, you get to hear episodes before regular listeners. When we hit a milestone, you get an extra-long episode. You can pledge a dollar or more per episode and cap how much you want to spend each month over on Patreon. And if you pledge $5 or more per episode, you’ll also get the all new music-only episodes. I introduce the show, play non-stop music for nearly an hour, and then close the show. Plus, you’ll get access to hundreds of free MP3 downloads. Your pledge to the podcast also supports Celtic Non-Profits. I donate 10% of all the money I take in to help organizations like the Middle Tennessee Highland Games last week. And in the first weekend of November, the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast is a proud sponsor for IrishFest Atlanta. That takes place Saturday, November 6. A super special thanks to our newest patrons: Gaelynn Lea, Matt and Joan, Luke Miller, Emma Bartholomew You can become a generous Patron of the Podcast on Patreon at SongHenge.com. TRAVEL WITH CELTIC INVASION VACATIONS Every year, I take a small group of Celtic music fans on the relaxing adventure of a lifetime. We don't see everything. Instead, we stay in one area. We get to know the region through its culture, history, and legends. You can join us with an auditory and visual adventure through podcasts and videos. Learn more about the invasion at http://celticinvasion.com/ #celticmusic #irishmusic #celticpodcast I WANT YOUR FEEDBACK What are you doing today while listening to the podcast? You can send a written comment along with a picture of what you're doing while listening. Email a voicemail message to celticpodcast@gmail.com Michael Cavanaugh emailed: "Hi Marc, I wanted to say I really enjoy the new opening to the podcast.  I think you saying “I am Marc Gunn” is so powerful and yet personal.  I hope you have enjoyed the change and I wonder if anyone else has noticed. I recently got engaged!  My fiancé and I love the podcast, its always playing like radio in our house and cars.  You mentioned the next Celtic Invasion is in Scotland, which is where we went to go for our honeymoon.  You also mentioned it will be near the beginning of June 2022.  Thats also when we are planning our wedding, and it sees fortuitous that perhaps we can go on the Invasion vacation shortly after our big day.  Have you “Loched” down dates yet? Where can we send a wedding invite?" Katherine McMillan emailed a photo: "Hi Marc, Thanks so much for all you do, I’ve found many great Irish/Celtic bands through listening to your podcast. I usually listen to it while I’m in the lab at work but we are currently in lockdown here in Victoria, Australia so my work is closed. Instead, I’m listening to the podcast while sorting out all the sheet music for my flute quartet, hoping it will inspire me to arrange more Celtic music for four flutes as it’s definitely our favourite type of music to play. At the moment I’ve got the Rainy Days episode playing; it seemed appropriate given the very cold and wintery days. Thanks again and keep up the great work!"
