He has always had a particular interest in local varieties and wine styles, alongside the famous wines of a region. His articles are published on his website, www.winefriend.org, which has sections on countries and regions he has visited: Italy above all, France, Germany, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.  David works as Senior Researcher for WSET on the five textbooks for the Level 4 Diploma in Wines. He was one of the two principal authors of the five digital textbooks for the Level 4 Diploma in Wines.
