You Have to Hold Your Staff and Vendors Accountable

Many times during the course of Erik’s entrepreneurial career, he has agreed with someone - whether a vendor or an employee - on a particular scope of work. Despite having doubts going into the agreement, Erik would go with it and when that person would inevitably stumble, he would give them a pass. In retrospect, that’s a mistake. If someone tells you they can and will do something, but later try to come back and renegotiate the agreement, you have to put your foot down and hold your ground.
