It's essential for caregivers to support and guide LGBTQ youth as they discover their identities. Curiosity, rather than confusion, drives young people's exploration of their identities and experiences. Having just one accepting person in a young LGBTQ person's life can significantly reduce their risk of self-harm. Both Lily and Eric emphasize the importance of connection and community among queer youth.
