He becomes increasingly angry and resentful of their thinking of him as an experiment rather than as a human being. He begins to see them as regular men with huge egos rather than the geniuses he first believed them to be. His intelligence has surpassed theirs, and he finds a flaw in their calculations. He first thinks to expose this flaw but decides against it.
