# 9.1 Studying in America
In the first episode of our Karo.Life podcast, we would like to introduce you to our four fascinating guests: Leander dreams of living in Japan, Lorenz plans to found a start-up, Julia is planning a backpacking adventure and Mathis is preparing for an Ironman. Although their goals are different, they all had the desire to go to America before. In the next two episodes, we would like to give you an American perspective: Why do people decide to do part of their studies in America? Which paths lead to America and how does the perspective develop on site? In this first episode, we will first get to know our guests and I will explain why I am so enthusiastic about them.
