Marine Conservation Through the Eyes of a PADI Master Diver

Today, I’m talking with Francheska Krysiak, also known as Franny, a marine conservationist, scientific rebreather diver, and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, who has spent the last 10 years working to protect our oceans. Franny supports conservation and restoration work for various organizations, such as the California Academy of Sciences.  She is also an underwater photographer and a brand ambassador for various scuba gear brands. In this conversation, Franny shares stories from her underwater research, such as the surreal experience of being surrounded by hundreds of sharks and how night diving unveils a completely different marine world. She also explains the differences between rebreather diving and traditional scuba diving, which allow her to spend extended periods underwater, and discusses the innovative techniques being used to preserve marine ecosystems for future generations.
