Ep94: Jess & Roman - Young Single Mum, Difficult Birth Experience, Forceps and Episiotomy, Postnatal Mental Health Journey

In Episode 94 of Kiwi Birth Tales I speak with Jess about the birth of her son Roman. Jess is a single mum in her early twenties and she takes us through her journey to motherhood, her traumatic birth experience in which she felt she wasn't prepared for and ended with an episiotomy and forcep delivery, her stitches were put in too tight and they have caused her issues ever since. Jess talks through the guilt she felt around her birth, the advice she received from different providers about breastfeeding, an undiagnosed diary intolerance and trusting your 'mum gut'. Jess is wise beyond her years and I'm grateful she was willing to share her story with us all. Thanks for listening!@Kiwibirthtales@Yourbirthproject Hosted on Acast.
