From bachelor to booze-free

Matt Agnew is a scientist, was on The Bachelor and stopped drinking after his mental health took a turn. In this l o n g conversation Matt talks about his decision to go sober, how his public life effected his personal happiness, when he had his last drink and how sobriety during lock down was a good choice for him personally. Despite having, as Matt says 'a few slip ups' Matt has stayed the sober path and finds it's compounded benefits are a positive driver to keep exploring sobriety.Matt talks about socializing without alcohol, how to he got back on track after a slip-up, and what he discovered in sobriety that surprised him.Matt Agnew has shared his enthusiasm for science through several radio spots, invited science talks and a wildly successful show at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and various science fairs and conferences. With a PhD in astrophysics, a background in engineering, and a Masters in artificial intelligence, Matt has a breadth of knowledge he’s dying to talk about!
