On October 12, 2019, at 2:30AM then Ft. Worth police officer Aaron Dean responded to a call by a concerned neighbor for a welfare check on a home with the front door left open and the lights on. While investigating around the outside of the home with a flashlight, Dean observed a person with a gun inside the home, just feet away.
