Humble is the new strong - how diversity creates real impact

In this episode, we're focusing on the H of our HEIDI Principles which stands for Humbleness & Diversity. We believe that humble is the new strong. Confronted with huge complexity, it seems more favorable to be able to admit not knowing everything. Not overestimating the value of your own thoughts gives you the ability to create new ones. Humbleness becomes an accelerator of learning and personal development. Being able to change your mind evolves into one of the greatest gifts in a highly complex fast-changing environment. Different perspectives are vital to finding better solutions because they give us the chance to look at a problem from multiple directions and essential to compete in a complex environment. We gain these perspectives by welcoming the diversity of thought which is based on the diversity of our stories. We're happy to share our different experiences in leadership and what helped us to become a more humble person, knowing that there is still a long way to go.. Hosted on Acast. The digital age comes with radical changes in how value is created. While our future leaders, the millennials, have evolved their values, the way of how businesses and organisations are run is stuck in the industrial epoch. The keywords of a “new work era” are widely spread, but remained poorly put into practice in most cases. Instead of thoroughly understanding how instrumental their impact for business success can be they are used to lure young talents into organisations that are run as ever before. The risk of this is not only the loss of motivation and engagement of a whole generation in their jobs and towards their employer, but more interestingly the loss of effectiveness with which businesses are approaching increasing complexity & future challenges. In this podcast we, Anna & Rolf, want to take the buzz out of New Work and interview smart minds who have approached Org topics in a different way. We want to get to the core of their beliefs, discuss their approaches and ultimately learn how to best tackle the complexity of our business world. Hosted on Acast.
